Mr. Osamu (Sam) Muramoto is Chairman of Jackson Square Aviation (JSA). In addition, he is the Global Head of MUL’s Aviation Business Division and Managing Executive Officer of Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Company Limited (MUL). He had previously been the Chairman of Engine Lease Finance Corporation, a MUL subsidiary, from June 2016.
Mr. Muramoto started his career in the finance business with The Mitsubishi Bank, Ltd. in 1985 and has held management roles in various global business sectors, including: Investment Banking, M&A, Strategic Planning and Leasing. He moved to MUL in 2012 having spent the previous year as Global Head of Syndicated Finance in The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd. (currently MUFG Bank) where he coordinated syndication businesses globally.
Mr. Muramoto’s experience in the Aircraft Finance and Leasing business began in 1998 with his involvement in EETC transactions as the Head of the Securitization Group of Tokyo Mitsubishi International plc in London, and he was responsible for Aviation Finance and Leasing as Senior Vice President, and then Senior Executive Vice President of BTMU Capital Corporation in Boston from 2004.
Mr. Muramoto holds an MBA from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Meiji University.
Kevin McDonald serves as Chief Executive Officer for Jackson Square Aviation, and is based in San Francisco. He also sits on the Company’s Board of Directors. Mr. McDonald and Chris Dailey jointly oversee the Company’s strategic vision and business development. Mr. McDonald maintains primary responsibility for the Company’s Capital Markets, Legal, Risk Management, Technical Services and Operations Departments. Prior to taking the CEO position on January 1, 2019 he served as JSA’s Executive Vice President, Capital Markets and Chief Investment Officer. He has been with JSA since inception in 2010 and was involved in all areas of the company’s formation, its rapid development and subsequent sale to Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance in 2013, and its integration and growth thereafter.
Mr. McDonald had joined Pegasus Aviation in 2002 and helped launch Pegasus Aviation Finance Company in 2004, which built a world-class fleet of over 130 aircraft before its sale to AWAS in 2007. Prior to his time at Pegasus, Mr. McDonald was an investment banker covering lessors and other financial institutions at the New York offices of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse. He has a B.A. (Economics) from Columbia University.
Chris Dailey is President & Chief Commercial Officer of Jackson Square Aviation (JSA), based in Dublin, Ireland. He also sits on the Company’s Board of Directors. Mr. Dailey oversees all origination activities including JSA’s global sales and marketing team, aircraft trading business and its manufacturer orderbook. Prior to taking this role in January 2019, he served as Chief Marketing Officer from 2016 after initially joining in early 2010 and holding various regional marketing roles across EMEA and Asia.
Prior to joining JSA, Mr. Dailey spent 10 years working at SH&E consulting in New York and London. His last role was as Managing Director in London where he was responsible for advisory engagements across aviation industry segments, with a focus on airline fleet planning and aircraft finance/leasing advisory. He is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Economics.
Paul Dwyer joined Jackson Square Aviation (JSA) as Chief Risk Officer and Executive Vice President. Mr. Dwyer has extensive experience in complex cross-border transactions and leasing company management. His background includes technical, risk, legal and IT management.
Prior to joining JSA, Mr. Dwyer served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Risk with Hong Kong Aviation Capital (HKAC). During his tenure at HKAC, he assumed leadership responsibilities for Technical, Legal, IT and Operating functions. Prior to HKAC, Mr. Dwyer was Head of Risk at Global Aviation Asset Management in Sydney and Senior Vice President of Credit & Research at Boullioun Aviation Services in Washington.
Aidan Reynolds has extensive aviation experience having spent over 35 years working in wide variety of roles in engine shops, aircraft maintenance, leasing and trading companies.
Prior to joining Jackson Square Aviation Ireland (JSAI), Mr. Reynolds had worked for Macquarie Aviation Capital as Head of Technical for the previous 6 years. Before this he spent 5 years as Director of Operations, Europe, Middle East and Africa for Pratt & Whitney. In this role he was responsible for all after market purchasing and sales of engines and engine parts within the region. Prior to this Mr. Reynolds worked for 5 years for Aviation Sales Company where he was Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa with responsibility for all sales and marketing activity.
Mr. Reynolds worked for 10 years at Monarch Aircraft Engineering where he held a number of roles within the aircraft maintenance and production department and ultimately as workshop manager. Before this he worked overhauling aircraft engines in Lufthansa Airmotive Ireland for 5 years.
Wilson Chen serves as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Jackson Square Aviation (JSA). Since the company’s inception, Mr. Chen and his team have had the responsibility of developing internal controls, producing financial statements and tax returns, and developing operational infrastructure. Mr. Chen brings with him the experiences of nearly 20 years in the aviation industry and the accreditations of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and an Accounting degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of California Berkeley. Previous leadership roles at Pegasus Aviation and Sky Holding Company along with his current position with JSA have given him a broad range of accounting, finance and operational expertise.
Ryan Opeka serves as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Jackson Square Aviation (JSA). Mr. Opeka is an experienced transaction and corporate attorney responsible for managing the legal department, providing legal counsel to the board and leadership team and coordinating legal support for transaction execution, corporate and compliance matters. Mr. Opeka has extensive experience negotiating and documenting aircraft leases with major airlines worldwide and with various structured financings, including secured loans, shareholder financings and PDP facilities. Prior to joining JSA, he served as Vice President and Counsel with Macquarie AirFinance in San Francisco. Mr. Opeka began his career in aviation as an attorney in the Global Transportation Finance group of the law firm Vedder Price in Chicago
Mathew Adamo serves as Head of Capital Markets at Jackson Square Aviation, based in San Francisco. Mathew is an experienced structured finance andleasing professional, having joined the Company in 2011. He is responsible for overseeing JSA’s Treasury and Portfolio Management teams, including capital commitments in excess of $1 billion annually. He has also led many of JSA’s major aircraft trading transactions and numerous corporate and strategic initiatives. He holds a B.A Degree in Economics and Classics from the University of Connecticut and a M.S. in Finance from the University of San Francisco.
Toby Bright is Senior Advisor of Jackson Square Aviation (JSA). He was previously named to President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2015 after serving as the Chief Marketing Officer for the company since it was founded in 2010.
Prior to joining JSA, Mr. Bright was Chief Marketing Officer for Sky Holding Company and before that Pegasus Aviation. Before joining Pegasus in 2005, he was Executive Vice President of Sales at Boeing where he was responsible for the sales of all commercial aircraft and services worldwide. During Mr. Bright’s 28 years at Boeing he held various sales, marketing and technical positions and oversaw the launch of the 787 program as the head of sales. Mr. Bright joined Boeing in 1977 upon receiving his degree in aerospace engineering from Virginia Tech. He has a commercial pilot certificate and is an avid general aviation pilot. He is a native of Mullens, WV.
